Our Story
Gelli all began in February of 2017 when Chantal Kuhn and Melanie Minaar came together with all their experience and ambition to create a salon to fill a gap in the industry. We didn’t just want to create a nail bar. We wanted to create a one-stop-shop for all things beauty. We wanted to offer superior service. While there is no shortage of salons, there is a shortage of extraordinary salons. That’s what we strive to be every single day.
Now you may be thinking that we wanted to open a boutique salon so that we could charge top dollar and make a few quick bucks. That is not the case. Price was always at the front of our minds, we wanted superior service to be accessible and affordable. We always will, in fact, our success started because we lowered our profit margins below those of our competitors in the first place.

We spend hours researching what works best, testing samples ourselves and working out how to bundle it up to offer tangible value to our clients. That’s how we managed to amass 5000 clients by 2020. We still research, test and experiment to this day to ensure our clients are always getting the latest and greatest. The beauty and fashion industry are kin after all.

Speaking about our stylists, we only employ the best candidates, and once we employ them we spend time teaching them the Gelli way. We treat customers the way we would want to be treated and pampered if we were in the chair. We treat clients with respect, kindness and care. We are easy to talk to and want our clients to feel welcome and at ease. We want to build relationships with our customers so that there is no other option that even pops to mind when thinking about booking a treatment. The relationships that we build also help us get better as each year passes.
